## Description

The National Physical Laboratory \[NPL\] requirement is for safe and robust human tissue sample preparation for our Mass Spectrometry Imaging analyses and for additional techniques within our department\. We require a cryomicrotome \(cryostat\) with UV disinfection capability as well as a vacuum system to clean the equipment and a motor for motorized sectioning\. The cryomicrotome must output reproducible, high-quality sections with a sectioning thickness range of 1-100 μm\. The item will be freestanding, with an encapsulated, splash-proof microtome\.
