Refurbishment of Harlow Playhouse Theatre Rigging Systems

Tenders are invited for the Refurbishment, Upgrade, Testing and Commissioning of the Playhouse Theatre Main Auditorium Flying and Rigging Infrastructures. The Specification will link to 5 key areas; - Counterweight Flying System - Advance Bar - FOH Speaker Truss - Proscenium Arch Border - Single Purchase Bar 4 The existing flying system consists of 32 Double Purchase Fly Bars each bar is 11.5m in length and is picked up via 4 points evenly spaced along the length of the bar. Each point is picked up using 6mm SWR. The Current SWL is 250kgs uniformly distributed. The control line is 20mm Chatham Hemp. The cradles have a maximum capacity of 33x 15kg weights per cradle. Each Fly bar is labeled with meter marks its counterweight number, safe working load and centre point. There are a number of improvements that need to be made to the flying system as well as refurbishment.
