Description
Where the Environment Agency has reasonable grounds to believe that a waste or fisheries offence has been committed, we have the power to seize vehicles under the following legislation: Environmental Protection Act 1990; Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989; and the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Act 1975. We also have the power to retain the seized vehicles under this legislation. The provisions allows an authorised Environment Agency officer to seize a vehicle and its contents. Accordingly, we are seeking a contractor to provide vehicle recovery, storage and disposal services. We are looking for a single contractor to provide a managed service giving us a single point of contact in respect of the seized property. Additional information: The tender process is being undertaken within Bravo, our online tendering portal.
