RDE 432 - A synthesis of evidence on innovative alternatives to fibre-composite

Description

The project will be divided into 4 work packages. The first work package will entail active engagement with stakeholders to identify evidence of innovative alternatives that they are aware of. The second will involve a thorough analysis of all innovative alternatives for single-use cups, noting advantages and disadvantages as well as their suitability for the UK, including consideration of domestic recycling infrastructure. The third will involve a deeper dive into the best alternatives to single use cups, examining in depth each one's economic impact and life cycle analysis (LCA). Finally, the fourth work package relates to overall project management. This project was awarded by DEFRA.
