Work description
The aim of this procurement is to put in place a contract for the provision of Youth Services in Devon to provide: • A universal offer based on open access via 8 hubs • Outreach and targeted support for more vulnerable young people • Advice, guidance and support to voluntary and community groups across the county • Focused support to young people at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education
There are eight Youth and Community Centres in Tiverton, Barnstaple, Exeter, Totnes, Okehampton, Newton Abbot, Bideford and Exmouth to be used as the bases for open access youth work.
Targeted youth work will provide specific, tailored interventions aimed to support young people with multiple and complex vulnerabilities and needs.
Devon County Council is party to agreements under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 in relation to the new communities at Cranbrook and Sherford. The Provider will be required to provide services in these areas.
There will be a bidder event which will be held in Exeter in relation to this tender on 29th August 2019 at Newcourt Community Centre, Blakeslee Drive, The Rydons, Exeter, EX2 7FN, from 10am to 12noon. The event will be an opportunity to have a brief overview of the service requirement from commissioners of the service, to have the procurement process explained, ITT document explained and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
Whilst every endeavour will be made to answer questions at this event, it may be necessary to respond at a later date.

Spaces for this event are limited and restricted to two persons per organisation. In order to ensure that this event is of the most benefit, bidding organisations are encouraged to ensure that persons attending are the most appropriate i.e. persons who will be constructing and making decisions about any bid submitted.
