## Description

Ofgem launched the Renewable Electricity Register \(RER\) product in May 2025\. This register has replaced the long running Renewables & CHP \(Combined Heat & Power\) Register, which was developed in 2007\. The RER has been designed to carry over existing R&CHP functionality to a more usable modern system\. The May launch covered the Minimum Viable Product \(MVP\) functionality, with additional work required between 0-6, 6-12, or 12\+ months in the product backlog\. Ofgem requires the supplier to complete a discovery exercise on the end to end service to fully understand the current issues and evaluate the work remaining to provide recommendations on priority\.
