UK SBS FWRECR16024 - Regulators and the Business Impact Target

The aim of the research is to provide the Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) and Better Regulation Executive (BRE) with information on the types of activities undertaken by regulators and which of these activities will fall within scope of the BIT. The research will then consider the analytical challenges of the potential submissions to the RPC. This will inform the RPC’s role in validating the impact on business of regulator activity and provide input to work to develop good practice guidance for regulators. This research will complement and follow on from work to be undertaken by the Better Regulation Executive to survey the volume of cases which regulators expect to submit to RPC.
