Description
This tender is to provide support to the Gas Transmission Networks Price Control team within Ofgem. This team regulates National Grid Gas Transmission under the RIIO 2 framework. National Grid Gas Transmission (NGGT) have identified that the Bacton terminal is nearing the end of its initial design life and will require investment to allow it to continue to operate into the future. An option select study is currently being undertaken to understand what options are open to the terminal operator to replace obsolete/ageing equipment and generate cost estimates for viable options. The options are expected to include typical re-development approaches such as targeted replacement, downsizing of the plant footprint and elements of a new build. Ofgem require the services of a multi discipline consultancy that can provide advice on the outcome of a National Grid Gas Transmission produced option select phase study to redevelop and extend the life of National Grid Gas Transmission Bacton Gas terminal.
