Work description
Exeter City Council and Teignbridge District Council ("the Council") is conducting a joint procurement process to appoint a suitably experienced organisation/s who can demonstrate the ability to deliver an effective Young Persons Homelessness Prevention Service.• To provide housing advice and support to 16 & 17 Year Olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Exeter and Teignbridge • To ensure that a homelessness prevention approach is at the heart of the service •To assess 16 & 17 Year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Exeter and Teignbridge in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and support them to access supported housing and emergency housing where homelessness can't be prevented • To carry out prevention work promoting the work of the service and the realities of homelessness • To provide housing advice and support to care leavers up to the age of 25 who's corporate parent is Devon County Council • To assess care leavers up to the age of 25, who are homeless and threatened with homelessness, in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. The service will ensure that 16, 17 Year olds and Care Leavers are well informed with choice and control over the advice, support and opportunities they can access in areas of health and wellbeing, housing, financial and social inclusion.
