Description
As part of Government's Road to Zero strategy, published in July 2018, the UK Office for Low Emission Vehicles ("OLEV") committed to work with Highways England ("HE") to deliver a pilot to increase electrical capacity at a Motorway Service Area ("MSA"). This pilot will 'determine what combination of increased network connection, technologies and storage could be pursued for the increased number of rapid and high powered chargepoints that will be needed to meet electric vehicle ("EV") charging demand in the future'.
