Description

Manchester City Council is inviting quotations for the provision of a Harpurhey Reservoir Retaining Wall Refurbishment. The objective of this project is place a 75m sheet piled wall in-front of the existing retaining wall to strengthen the flood defence capability to stop any contaminated reservoir water from discharging into the River Irk. Further to this a 1.45m wide capping beam will be placed on the wall with a 1.25m high safety handrail to act as a safe pedestrian walkway along the reservoir. Additional information: The Council is using the e-business portal known as THE CHEST www.the-chest.org.uk to conduct the procurement exercise. To gain access to the invitation to tender documents, tenderers will need to register their company details at the above website. Once registered, tenderers will be emailed a log-in and password which will allow them to gain access to the invitation to tender documents. Tenderers will need to electronically submit their completed tender documents and accompanying documentation via the CHEST on-line portal by 19:00 hours on the 22.07.2016. Any supplier questions queries will also need to be submitted via THE CHEST website.
