Description

City of Wolverhampton Council entered into a contract for Waste Disposal Services in 2007 with Enterprise Managed Service Limited (now owned by Amey PLC). The contract was for an initial term of 14 years and dealt with the collection and disposal of waste through the city. This includes household waste, green waste and trade waste. It also included a TUPE transfer of staff and associated pensions issues. The Council is currently undertaking a consultation with a view to delivering savings on the waste services. Although the consultation is still under review, the Council would like to obtain the services of external solicitors to deal with any variation to the contract including changes to the specification and payment mechanism. Additional information: Awarded as a direct call off from the Council's own Legal Framework.
