Description
Dacorum Borough Council (The Council) have been utilising an Electoral Registration and Elections Management System since 2009 which enables The Council to co-ordinate and conduct elections and referenda on behalf of The Council's Returning Officer. The current system has served The Council well however, rather than invest significant funds on an upgrade The Council are keen to review the market to see which solution would serve us best over the next 5 years. The new system must support a customer focused service that meets the needs of The Council's clients, maximising participation in the electoral process and fulfilling The Council's responsibilities in relation to elections and the register of electors. In purchasing a new system, the Council hopes to achieve the following: - Assist the continuous improvement of the Electoral Services department - Facilitate the successful delivery of elections and referenda - Provide statistics and reports as required to conform to statutory requirements - Develop the foundation on which to accurately compile and maintain the register of electors - Provide a high quality and effective Electoral Services to our customers and stakeholders - Comply with data standards and ensure a link to LLPG (BS7666) - Ability to undertake signature, barcode and numerical recognition for Absent voting, ITR Forms and HEFs. - Ability to interface with telephone, internet and SMS registration services.
