Work description
The Bank seeks to gather new (and potentially existing) primary data which furthers understanding of the current dynamics of the UK entrepreneur population, and how and in what ways diversity (i.e. sex, ethnicity) interacts with it. The aim is for this research to yield statistically significant results, at a level of detail which practically informs the nature, design and case for future initiatives.
The research will improve our understanding of which UK entrepreneurs (described via demographic and social background characteristics) progress through stages on the 'entrepreneur development journey' to achieve success, and which do not, and why this may be the case. In this, it will consider the role of important external factors, such as social capital, access to finance, and choice of economic activity.
