CPI have identified a need for the ability to measure the mechanical properties of barrier materials used in the packaging industry. These barrier materials maybe free standing, individual or complex multilayers of thin films of polymers, papers, coatings or combinations of materials designed to control the passage of small molecules such as oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapour under refrigerated and ambient conditions.
