Description
City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) have an Energy Recovery Facility at Crown Street. In owning this facility, the Council are realising significant financial and commercial benefits in managing residual waste when compared many other councils across the UK. It is important to maintain and where possible seek to build upon and improve the financial and environmental benefits of plant ownership over the long term. This will require a carefully considered strategy, and the Council are now at the stage of seeking a holistic consideration of its options. Strategic, commercial, market, policy and operational issues must all form part of this consideration
