Work description
Monitoring, Alerting, Scanning and Reporting of HCC IT services is vital to protecting HCC against cyber-attack and to ensure HCC meets its legal, contractual and partner obligations. In recent years we have seen a significant rise in Cyber Security related incidents affecting the public sector, as well as a marked increase in the number of attacks targeting national infrastructure and local government. These incidents are becoming more frequent, but they are also becoming increasingly sophisticated and appear to be carried out by advanced, persistent threat actors that have access to considerable resources. As a response to this increase in targeted attacks on local government, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Local Government Association (LGA) recommend that local government organisations ensure that they have the knowledge, means and support to effectively defend themselves against determined adversaries and relentless cyber-attacks. This contract provides software licences to monitor for Cyber Attacks and provides a Cyber Incident Response service for the Authority.
