P1196 - Civic Cleaning Electric Equipment Lease Agreement

The Council wishes to establish a Contract for the provision of a Civic Cleaning Electric Equipment Lease Agreement including:

The provision of cleaning services to Birmingham City Council (the Council) Non-Educational Buildings and some external companies. These buildings range in size from large administrative hubs within excess of 2000 occupants to small local libraries. A complete list of buildings is contained with Appendix 1. The service also operates a range of other cleaning disciplines including a mobile industrial cleaning team, home cleans and a specialist retail markets team. The portfolio may expand or contract over the duration of the contract, this may also impact our equipment needs.

To deliver this service a diverse range of cleaning equipment is utilised ranging from rechargeable carpet sweepers to commercial scrubber dryers. Historically this equipment has been purchased as and when required and maintained by a separate repair and maintenance contract.

Birmingham City Council Civic Cleaning requires a supplier for the provision of leasing cleaning equipment/hardware.

The Contract will last for 4 years (unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract) with the provision to extend for up to an additional 1 year subject to requirements and satisfactory performance.
