ESRI Software Check-up

We have ArcGIS software in DfT, purchased from ESRI UK, and use this on a daily basis to produce maps and do other spatial analysis. The software performs well in many other organisations, but in DfT performance can be patchy. The reasons for this are unknown - it could be due to the way the software is set up, or the hardware available. We would like a review of our set-up by experts, to tell us more about the reasons behind the variable performance and recommend options for troubleshooting.
