To improve the quality of the water entering the SSSI from the urban area by: 1\. Assessing the feasibility of a wetland system to treat the surface water run-off before it enters the SSSI\. 2\. To better understand the surface water flow paths within Nailsea to identify the locations for SUDs and constructed wetlands\. 3\. To provide multi-benefits such as amenity value for the local residents\. 4\. To provide a high quality ecological wetland resource\. 5\. To assess the impact of the proposed 5000\+ new homes in the area on the surface water run-off\.
