DHSC: CSA: NIHRCC Procurement - External Legal Services

Description

The Health and Care Act 2022 places a statutory duty to promote research, and powers to support it, on the Secretary of State and on all levels of the NHS. NIHR provides a key means through which the Secretary of State discharges this duty. The proposed NIHRCC procurement is for the services required to deliver the day-to-day operations of the NIHR. The procurement is high value, complex and business critical and will require significant legal input throughout the procurement lifecycle to ensure that DHSC is and remains compliant with prevailing procurement law principles and that the procurement documents, including the contracts being awarded, are drafted to a high standard. This contract is for external legal services to be provided to support the procurement.
