Work description
An exciting opportunity exists to coordinate Switch On To Swindon's inaugural TechSwindon project. We are looking for someone with a passion for Swindon's business growth, good local network connections, excellent understanding of the digi-tech industry and proven organisational project and event management skills to turn this great idea with some sponsorship interest, into a fully-funded long term campaign to support development of the TechSwindon industry cluster, with small and large events and promotion of key messages. The Project aims are: • to work with partners to develop the local digi-tech cluster; • to showcase Swindon's digi-tech capability to attract inward investment and a pipeline of additional skilled staff. Activity will include working with the Swindon Borough Council Business & Economy Team and a small Switch On To Swindon working party to plan and deliver the project and campaign; liaise with local digi-tech support programmes and the industry to encourage collaboration across the industry. The Coordinator must sign-up financial contributors, and plan and promote a 12 month campaign culminating in a major event. The Coordinator contract is suitable for a self-employed individual or company and will have flexible hours to fit with the programme. Swindon Borough Council will host and manage the contract, which is funded by locally-based companies as part of a TechSwindon sponsorship package. The initial contract term will be for 6 weeks (phase 1), which of successful and both parties agree wilbe extended to the 31st July 2020, as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend is £5,000 in phase 1, then £37,154 across the remainder of the potential contract term. Please note that this project has been advertised on Contracts Finder/ other web portals, however, Supplying the South West Portal, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, is the only portal that includes all the relevant documents required to respond to this opportunity, bearing Project Id:DN421883
