Work description

The British Tourist Authority (BTA) T/A - VisitBritain/VisitEngland play a unique and critical role leading the growth of tourism and providing expertise, leadership and insight to government and the tourism industry. With a mission to build on tourism's record of success, to make tourism more successful and productive for the economy. Therefore, this work is being commissioned to create the foundation of a platform that will enable VisitBritain/VisitEngland empower the sector through the power of data and insight.

The purpose of this requirement is for the BTA to purchase access to key tourism data. This will give us access to a complete lifecycle view of all key stages of the customer journey in a clean, easy to access platform to inform internal decision making as part of our tourism recovery plan (ensuring our marketing is as refined in targeting the right audience at the right time using the right channel mix), and enhancing our ability to evaluate the effectiveness of our sector activities (where we can track not just what consumers are saying as measures of intent but what they actually do, spend money on and travel to), optimise marketing in flight, and address the gaps in knowledge that only demand side data can cover.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
