Stockport Greenbelt Assessment Refresh

Stockport MBC would like to undertake a critical review of the existing Green Belt evidence and ensure we have a robust and comprehensive evidence base to secure a defensible Green Belt, which meets the purposes as set out in the NPPF and which will withhold scrutiny at examination. The updated Green Belt evidence will provide the context for policies and proposals within the emerging Local Plan and act as a material consideration in the determination of planning applications, as well as being available for other uses by SMBC, partners, stakeholders and communities.
