## Description

Country Park Bridge is a single span steel structure which carries Atherleigh Way \(A579\) over Westleigh Brook in Leigh\. It is situated adjacent Pennington Golf Course and a public footway runs adjacent to the structure\. The works briefly comprise: • Saw cut and break out carriageway, footway/verge to reveal existing waterproofing and buried joint\. • Works to be carried out in phases to minimise traffic disruption\. • Remove existing joint and Prepare surface to receive a new Thormajoint BJ 200ST Type 2 Asphalt Plug Joint\. • Install new Thormajoint BJ 200ST Type 2 Asphalt Plug Joint, to include a skid resistant dressing stone 1\.4-2mm\. • Reinstate carriageway, footway/verge and any affected road markings\. • Remove existing polysulphide sealant to bridge edge beams and replace with new polysulphide sealant\.
