SCC APC Supply and distribution of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables - AWARD

The Council's aim is to appoint suppliers of fresh produce to The Council. The suppliers are expected to work alongside the Catering Departments to communicate the best options of fresh produce available at the time of order, and share any current market information that will assist the provision, new ideas and exciting promotions aimed at both students and staff, to encourage healthy eating and to work within a value for money ethos.

Pelican is seeking to work with fresh produce suppliers committed to a. Continually improving its already sustainable and environmental culture and work with us in promoting this on an on-going basis by using recyclable packaging where possible for its products. b. A commitment to compliance with all relevant legislation applicable to the supply of fresh produce. c. A commitment to compliance with all equalities legislation (including but not limited to age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender and sexual orientation) and the public sector equalities duties and service delivery in accordance with the Council's Equal Opportunities/equalities policy. d. Sustainability as far as the law, providing that cost or availability does not prejudice service delivery.
