Provision of Webcasting Equipment and Services

Description

Somerset County Council host many council committee meetings each year from their headquarters building at County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY. Due to the capacity of the meeting rooms, committee rooms and nearby council chambers, members of the public have had to be turned away when these rooms are full. In order to allow members of the public to view these meetings, the members would like to stream the meeting to the internet for public viewing. This is even more important if Covid restrictions mean council members cannot attend due to social distancing guidelines. As some attendees will not be able to attend in person, a solution for joining at home is essential.
