Work description
Cefas is currently engaged in activities supporting the Government of Antigua and Barbuda following the passing of Hurricane Irma. To inform rebuilding activities, a national adaptation plan will be developed which will need to consider resilience to coastal and marine impacts. To achieve this there is a requirement for high quality baseline terrestrial and marine data.
The requirement of this assignment is to obtain an integrated terrestrial topography and coastal bathymetry data layer for the island of Barbuda in the Caribbean (Figure 1 illustrates Area of Interest, KML file provided). Barbuda was extensively impacted by Hurricane Irma on the 6th September 2017. Using data from before the 6th September 2017, the contractor will develop such integrated model. The contractor will also include an optional quotation to produce an integrated terrestrial and coastal data layer using data acquired after the 6th September 2017, allowing study of changes between both datasets.
