For the UKAEA Culham Science Centre HyDUS Project Foundation Works

Description

A requirement has emerged for the provision of a containerised laboratory to be constructed within a compound with associated ancillary structures. The actual laboratory facility is to be provided and installed by others but as a precursor to the delivery and installation, civil engineering works are also required. The works are to provide a foundation and associated enabling works for a 9.14m x 3.04m containerised laboratory to be installed to the North of Building B24. A RIBA Stage 3 design has been developed and the Construction Provider is to further develop the design and build the following: • Foundations to set container and additional equipment. • Surface water drainage. • Install ducts for later installation of Power and data by others. • Fence to enclose the container and supplementary equipment. • Temporary Vehicle Access. • Temporary pedestrian footpath. The full works are described within the Schedule of Works and associated Scope documentation.
