## Description

NHSBT requires supply, maintenance and consumables for Sterile Connection Devices \(SCD\) and is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who will be able to offer a solution for the following: The devices must be suitable for blood component processing e\.g\. connection of additional packs and filters to primary blood collection systems and packs, connection of buffy coats etc; produce blood components that satisfy current/future guidelines; connect tubing from all blood pack systems supplied to the Authority\. The maintenance must be suitable for existing Terumo Sterile Connecting Devices \(TSCD\) I & II\. The consumables must perform sterile welds between plastic PVC tubing for processing of blood and components and must be compatible with TSCD's I & II\. Note: this may be run as a collaborative exercise with other blood services\.
