Wylfa Electrical Overlay System - Phase 2 On Site Distribution

Description

Magnox require the design, supply and installation of a new Electrical overlay system at their Wylfa Site in North Wales. This will require design, civil and electrical works under provision of a complete turnkey project. A new and independent electrical infrastructure system is required that will meet modern standards, and is appropriate for the site's present and future electrical load. The scope of work involves the design, manufacture, supply, build, cable & switchgear installation, works-test, delivery to site, off-loading, moving into final position, installation and testing/commissioning of the electrical systems and civil structures. A detailed design of the electrical infrastructure system, taking into account the electrical demand, location for the loads, type of switchgear, transformers, electrical protection, metering equipment, cabling, cable routing etc. is required along with all construction works to support the electrical infrastructure A 2000 KVA District Network Operator (DNO) supply is available at the site boundary which is to supply new 11 KV Switchgear, which in turn will supply two new 11 KV / 415 V Package Substations (PS), one in the Switch house and the other on-site which will support the existing site electrical demand
