Early Contractor Involvement: Please Email paula.acton@sellafieldsites.com to express an interest. Morgan Sindall are looking to undertake Early Contractor Involvement regarding the fabrication/design and manufacture of the Universal Shield Blocks required to be utilized in the storage vault (specification documents provided) to mitigate dose from the packages. This is a pre-cast concrete block but also contains key stainless structural elements - the extent of which is to be determined by the supply chain. Scope: Looking to leverage the expertise of the supply chain with their design , manufacture and manufacturing knowledge to understand the most appropriate way of delivering the USB's to meet dimensional & tolerance requirements as articulated within the specification documents. A full ITT will follow at a later date.
