Work description
NOTE: This notice was updated on 09 March 2017 for the following reason: Following a conversation with Rachel Cutting (Jessop Fertility) yesterday, it has been determined that as a consequence of a very limited response to our notice, and in the interests of competition, to terminate the current procurement exercise and re-advertise our requirements to the market.Jessop Fertility is looking to purchase a laser designed for blastomere / trophectoderm biopsy to enable a Pre implantation genetic diagnosis and Pre implantation genetic screening service to be developed at Jessop Fertility. The key features of this device: •Must be compatible for use with the current micromanipulation system used at Jessop Fertility (Research Instruments Integra 3) •Must be a high power laser with validated evidence for the safe use with human embryos / blastocysts (designed for minimal energy near sample) •Must have the ability draw straight or curved lines and have the ability to select the number and size of holes with high accuracy •Must have a high quality imaging system •Have relevant device approval
This is a new service for Jessop Fertility and staff will require biopsy training. The provision of support and training will be evaluated in the tender. An evaluation will be required to assess whether a static or movable laser is preferred.
