Description

The PET Tracer Production Unit (PTPU), within Newcastle University, plans to combine to space for use by PTPU staff and PhD research groups in a joint research and development laboratory. The PTPU, based within the School of Chemistry, was established for the release of in-house prepared and delivered pharmaceuticals, for both clinical trials and patient care. The University plans to combine allotted laboratory space with PhD researchers to expand research collaboration in areas of radioactive moieties. To support this work, a new UPLC-MS system, hereby referred to as LCMS, will be installed within the joint research and development laboratory within the PTPU. The system will primarily be used for research, method development, reaction monitoring, and troubleshooting applications. Additionally, there is scope for the system to be coupled with other mass analysing/injection technologies, such as a mass spectrometer interface for analysing planar surfaces such as TLC plates, papers and biological tissue samples. The total price for the whole system purchase has been capped at £85,000, tender responses outside this scope will be excluded from further consideration. This is inclusive of all costs, including supply of all equipment (incl. delivery, installation and energy cost), other costs and charges, and minimum Training.
