Vehicle Fleet Management

HM Coastguard as part of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency operates a fleet of 447 vehicles. 430 are response vehicles of several types (4WD, light commercials, SUV and Estates,) located all around the coast of the UK. The remaining estate vehicles are used for administrative purposes. We operate 147 equipment trailers which are used to carry rescue equipment in support of operations. The contract provides a comprehensive fleet management and maintenance package to ensure reliability of the Agency's and in particular HM Coastguard's fleet of vehicles and trailers. This is primarily in regard to Servicing, MOT, safety checks, maintenance and repairs. A full 24/7 roadside breakdown and assistance cover is also required for all vehicles including cover for off road. A full 24/7 emergency tyre repair/replacement cover is also required for all vehicles.
