THE DELIVERY OF ACTIVE TRAVEL PROMOTION IN SCHOOLS

Gateshead Council, in association with the Schools Go Smarter (SGS) Programme currently being planned across the North East Combined Authority (NECA) region, would like to commission delivery of active travel promotion in its schools. This contract will be delivered within the Borough of Gateshead. A team of appropriately qualified and experienced staff are required for Gateshead's delivery of ‘Schools GoSmarter - Active Travel Promotion’. A programme of activity, including the promotion of walking, cycling and scooting to school, is to be drawn up and delivered in approximately 30 Gateshead schools during the period 1st April 2017 to 31 July 2018. The contract will have an initial duration of 16 months, and there will be an option to extend for 2 x 12 months. Please note that a branded ‘product’ will not be suitable to fulfil this requirement. All activity is to be delivered solely under the SGS brand.
