## Description

The Road Safety Statement \(2019\) outlined DfT's intention to "Commission a review of research on road safety targets and their effectiveness"\. This is to be reviewed alongside the existing evidence around targets and indicators for road safety and the effectiveness for casualty reduction\. 4\.2 Within the requirement there are a number of activities as set out below - Review the existing evidence with particular focus on the wider context around safety advances in vehicles and road infrastructure\. - Consider the behavioural change impacts resulting from targets and the opportunities and challenges these present to the Government
