Advanced Biodiesel Research

Low Carbon Fuels seeks to develop the UK renewable transport fuels industry as an engine for growth while cutting greenhouse gas emissions. We are responsible for UK delivery of the 2020 renewable fuel and greenhouse gas transport targets in the EU Renewable Energy and Fuel Quality Directives. This research allows us to develop the evidence base and improve our ability to deploy effective policy measures and/or incentives which could help to overcome barriers to the commercialisation and increased use of advanced biodiesel in the UK.
