## Description

Midland Metro Ltd require a fleet of vehicles to carry out tramway maintenance and emergency response when necessary\. The number/type of vehicles required and the specification requirements are detailed within the ITT and Appendix 3 to the ITT\. The successful bidder should provide a fleet of vehicles which must include the following requirements: - All vehicles should be compliant with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual issued by Department for Transport to allow for work to be carried out along the tramway\. - MOT, Servicing and Repairs should be included within the proposed costs\. - All vehicles with the exception of the proposed electric vehicle \(Appendix 3\) will require provision of a plywood fit out, as demonstrated in Appendix 2\. - All vehicles should include MML branding as shown in Appendix 4\. On vans there must be an additional sticker on the back which states 'Tramway Maintenance'\. - All vehicles must have air conditioning\. - Breakdown cover must be included\. A replacement vehicle must be made available within 48 hours in the event of breakdown, repair, MOT, servicing etc\. The replacement vehicle must be comparable to the vans/car in the fleet\. Vehicles must be comparable with the current fleet listed in Appendix 1 to the ITT\. Vehicles can be new or up to 12 months old\. Details of the proposed fleet can be found in Appendix 3 to the ITT\. The contract will be for a minimum of three years, with the option to extend for a further two years\. Any lease vehicles should initially be taken out on a three year lease\.
