Work description
Assignment under the Market Research Framework MR130001
HMRC aims to move to a fully digital tax system by 2020 where taxpayers will see the information HMRC holds through their digital tax accounts. Although the majority of businesses submit their Corporation Tax (CT) return online, in contrast most automatic repayments are being made by Payable Order (PO) which is very costly for HMRC compared to electronic repayments. This research aims to identify how customers can be encouraged to provide their bank details on their CT return to allow cheaper on line automatic repayments to be made when they are due.
