Work description

Station Hall is a Grade II listed building at the National Railway Museum in York, housing a collection of rail vehicles of national significance, an exhibition and a café. Station Hall, like many national museum buildings, has suffered from historic under-investment and has been in poor condition. This project is fully funded by a grant from DCMS to address its poor state of repair. Its primary objective is to address the failing roof and prevent water ingress into the building. It also will install new openings to the buildings (windows and doors) to make the building and its collection more visible from passers-by and improve the quality of the visitor experience in the building. SMG wishes to establish an Agreement for the provision of Project Management services to manage the delivery of the works to the Station Hall building.
