Refurbishment of Building 85 Common Learning Space

Description

The University of Southampton is entering into a contract with a principal contractor to carry out refurbishment works within the Life Sciences Building (B85). The project includes the refurbishment of Levels 2/3, creating new office space to accommodate incoming staff. Works include demolition of a non-load bearing wall to create a large meeting room. In addition, modifications to the current ventilation system will be carried to provide sufficient ventilation for the new offices. Kitchenettes are to be stripped out and replaced alongside architectural refurbishment works that include painting, installation of new carpets and provision of new furniture.
