External Placements for Looked After Children - Prior Information Notice

Thurrock Council intends, subject to approval, to re-commission external placements for looked after children aged 0 to18 years.

Thurrock Council works to provide protection when needed for children and young people, supported by high quality placements across a range of settings. The Council is looking for providers who are committed to providing high quality care and support and achieving the best outcomes for children and young people, whilst delivering best value for the Council.

The services will include Independent Foster Care, Residential Care (with and without education), Supported Accommodation for 16 - 17 year olds, and Family Assessments (parents over 18 years old will be included within this provision).

The Indicative tender timetable, subject to approval, is that this will be offered in early 2018. An information event will be planned to run during the early stages of the tender process.

Thurrock Council reserves the right to change this timetable, or to not proceed with the procurement.
