CW - Fire doors Installation

Description

ire Door survey was completed in March 2021. This identified a 127 doors which were non-compliant. Phase 1 of the project due for completion in August 2023 replaced the highest risk doors, those to plant rooms and cores (places of refuge) at basement and car park levels, as advised by our Authorised Engineer for Fire. Additionally during 2022 a number of Ward doors were also replaced and automated, removing them from the list requiring remedial action. There are a further 33 doors which require replacement due to age, condition and damage as they are beyond repair and pose a High risk to the Trust. These are a mix of outer core doors which require magnet hold opens, attached to the fire system, some require automation to prevent further damage and access control.
