Work description

The transfer of commissioning responsibility for public health nursing services for 0-5 year olds from NHS England in October 2015 brings together commissioning responsibility for all public health nursing services for 0-19 year olds within Nottinghamshire County Council and offers exciting opportunities for integration. Nottinghamshire County Council will work with children, young people and families, clinicians, and stakeholders to transform delivery of the healthy child programme and public health nursing for 0-19 year olds maximising opportunities for integration and joint working. We will procure an integrated healthy child programme and public health nursing service for 0-19 year olds during 2016 with a new service operational from 1st April 2017. Scope The integrated healthy child programme and public health nursing service for 0-19 year olds is currently delivered by the following services which are contracted to 31st March 2017: • Health visiting service • Family nurse partnership • Public health school nursing service (including national child measurement programme) The new integrated service will deliver services for residents of Nottinghamshire in line with the healthy child programme including: • 0-5 services • 2 – 2.5 year review • 5- 19 services
