Description

The Authority DSTL has a requirement to purchase, Dual band SWIR / MWIR camera suitable to image expanded laser beam(s) after scattering from diffuse target board placed into beam path. On-axis expanded beam irradiances incident upon target board (a) SWIR 0.127 Wm-2, (b) MWIR 0.127 Wm-2. Approximately gaussian beam profile with beam width FW1/e^2 approx 0.2m. CW or quasi-CW laser operation may be assumed. MWIR beam imaging capaibity is to replicate existing capability that is nearing end of life. SWIR capability is new requirement. Beam imaging capability must include the ability to display either of the beam profiles in real time (not necessarily simultaneously), and record data that is suitable, with additional processing, to generate graphs of intensity profiles.
