Work description
The equipment must be appropriate for bio-science applications in the field of electron microscopy. Features should include: - Easy and safe handling of the square as well as the finished knives. - Mechanical construction to achieve a balanced break. - Vibrations free casting. - Should be delivered ready to score and break the glass for every operation without any adjustment of micrometre drivers prior to each break. - Equipment should intrinsically allow for symmetrical breaking; this should be very precise with no backlash. - Breaking head should be via a clamping lever with defined clamping position. - Simplicity of score action of glass if possible, with and auto reset for the next score. - Breaking head which applies symmetrical force to both side of the glass. - Breaking wheel with scale. - High precision glass strip support. - Facility to rotate the glass square precisely to help ensure high quality knives. - Easy access of scoring pressure adjustment. - Fast learning curve - very easy to learn and use. - Any system to avoid accidental misalignment is preferred.
