Description
Highways England's Safer Roads - People team is seeking specialist support for the development, trial and implementation of future compliance technologies. The objectives of this Task are: - To monitor the effectiveness of the close following, mobile phone and seat belt intervention measures on the Strategic Road Network (SRN). - To continue improving technical performance of prototype systems while further developing the business case for camera-based technology to support road safety. - To provide ad-hoc assistance to the Project Sponsor as required regarding the use of technology for other non-compliant behaviours such as lane hogging, roadworthiness, aggressive driving etc. - To produce a final technical report at the end of the project which summarises all of the work to date and provide recommendations of how development and implementation of these technologies should be progressed.
