CR20118 Community Guidance for Onshore Wind Developments in England

An update to the existing community benefits and engagement guidance for onshore wind developments in England is required in order to improve how communities and developers interact on onshore wind, given the change in context since the last guidance was published. The supporting qualitative research is needed both to support the production of the updated guidance, ensuring that this is based on a robust evidence base, and to increase our understanding of the community-developer dynamic and inform future onshore wind policymaking. Aim 1 - Produce an updated guidance document for onshore wind community engagement and benefits The updated guidance will be a single document published on gov.uk and no more than 30 pages long. It will be accessible to local communities and use case studies and real-life examples to bring to life the principles of engagement and the range of benefits that are available to communities that host onshore wind energy developments. Aim 2 - Deliver qualitative evidence to support the development of the updated guidance, and inform future onshore wind policy development
