## Description

The Session Solution contract enables NHSBT to manage the collection of blood donations from greeting donors at a session \(fixed or mobile\), through to such donations and all associated data\. An initial contract for Session Solution Managed Service \(NHSBT1204\) was awarded on 3rd September 2019 with BT following a further competition under the CCS Technology Services 2 Framework \(RM3804\)\. The initial contract term was for a three-year period with the option to extend for a further year\. The contract term has now been extended for an additional year, with ongoing costs covering provision of a managed service, licences and SIM costs\. A new contract will be tendered/awarded via a competitive exercise to start June 2024\.
